Scholarships

Our main avenue for creating opportunities is using scholarships to give students greater financial means to make their dreams become reality. The number of the scholarships will be dependent upon the amount of money we raise before the application period. Our scholarships are for $1,250 per recipient. The current application deadline is June 23, 2024 for Fall 2024 / Spring 2025 / Summer 2025 study abroad programs. 

Minimum requirement:

• A graduate from a Tarrant County high school

Preference given to applicants that:

• Receive Financial Assistance
• Are attending a program at least a semester in length
• Will study in a country with a primary language besides English
• Have taken formal classes in the applicable language
• Have completed 60 or more credit hours earned from an accredited university
• These are preferences, not a requirement to be awarded a scholarship

Expectations for our Scholarship Recipients:

• Complete Scholarship Acceptance Contract
• Provide a headshot upon being selected to share with our community
• Participate in a pre-departure recognition get-together before your study abroad semester and a welcome home party to help review your experience (if logistically possible).
• Share a geographically identifiable destination image upon your arrival
• Share 3-5 images and your thoughts through brief quotes while abroad
• Attend one of our Annual Fundraisers (Funkytown Gitdown, Globe Trot 5k, Annual Dinner)
